25 Gift and Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Baby's First Christmas

Books

These little first books are perfect for little hands. They’re also the right size to store in your diaper bag for on-the-go entertainment

The black and white images are much easier for your baby to see, as they’re high contrast and have sharp outlines. Your baby will be completely absorbed with these little books in front of them.

Any kind of sensory book is also loads of fun for babies and toddlers. We’re a huge fan of the “That’s Not My…” series by Usborne.

Both of my littles have loved reading these books and exploring the different textures on each page.

The “First 100” books is another great series for babies. I’ve found these great for little ones to look at while playing independently

The animals one is definitely a fave in our house. My babies have loved to point to each animal and wait for me to tell them what each one is called.

Music

Music is a sure hit with little ones. And this Clatter by Plan Toys is a great instrument to start with

Even younger babies can hold onto it and make music by shaking it around

You get a toy and an instrument with the Hape Pound & Tap Bench with Xylophone

Your baby will get to practice their fine motor skills by hammering the balls, and as they slide down, they’ll make some beautiful music on the xylophone. You can also remove the xylophone if they just want to play with the pounding bench or if they just want to make some music.

Fine Motor

Every baby has to have some keys of their own! Unless of course, you want them to keep stealing yours. 😉

With this Plan Toys set, your baby will get to shake, hold, and teethe. And you’ll have piece of mind, as these are wooden, instead of chemical-filled plastic.

This toy is so much fun. Your baby will have a blast “skwishing” this rattle down and watching it pop back up.

Even smaller babies will be entertained by grasping and swinging this fun rattle

My boys LOVED these multi-texture sensory balls

This set has different sizes, shapes, and colors for your little to explore. Plus, they can start warming up that pitching arm. 😉

A pounding bench is a classic. Older babies and toddlers get such a kick out of hammering these little pegs down

Such a fun way to develop those fine motor skills.

Stacking cups are another classic hit!

Green Toys Stacking Cups are a safe, affordable option that are perfect for stacking, nesting, bath time, and more.

Bath Time

Okay, so honestly, my daughter never really cared much for these, but my son is absolutely obsessed with them!

He loved turning the gears in the tub and putting them together in different orders.

Non-Toxic Teethers

Teething toys make such a great stocking stuffer for baby’s first Christmas.

This natural teether by LittleFoot Nation is made with pure food grade silicone and beechwood. It’s super cute, easy for little hands to hold, and the textures feel soothing against baby’s sore gums

This banana teether was a favorite for both of my babies. And bonus, it also helped brush their teeth!

Made in the USA, this teething toy was brilliantly designed to clean teeth and soothe gums

The Loulou Lollipop Teethers come in such cute designs, including rainbows, a llama, sloth, boston terrier, and more. Their teethers also come with a stainless steel clip, so they’re great for on-the-go

Their products are made with 100% food grade silicone and are free from nasty chemicals, like BPA, PVC, phthalates, and lead.

Baby leg warmers are super fashionable and make diaper changes so much easier.

They’re also great for crawling babies, as they give them a little bit of cushion on their knees.

You can find thousands of different prints and designs in  baby leg warmers.

These are great for playing peek-a-boo with your baby or you could stuff them in an empty tissue box and let baby pull them out over and over again.
